Who Are We?

2007

Founded at the Governor's Office Central Mosque, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta by the Muslim community of Ogun State Civil Service.

Al-Hilaal Cooperative Multipurpose Society Limited was established in March 2007 when the Executive Committee of the Governor's Office Central Mosque realized the urgent need to strengthen the financial position of Muslim Public/Civil Servants through a Shari'a-compliant cooperative.

Debuting as the first and only Islamic Cooperative Society within the Ogun State Public/Civil Service, Al-Hilaal provides interest-free loans to members in obedience to Allaah (SWT) and the practice of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

From 17 founding members in July 2007, the Society grew to 64 members within its first year. Today, Al-Hilaal manages multiple welfare schemes including a 26.5-acre estate at Denro Village along the Abeokuta–Ayetoro Road.
